In the Chapter 33 of the book Fundamentals of Analytical Chemistry 9th Edition (Skoog, D. A. et. al.) many terms have been described like the different phase packing, the different types of chromatography and many more. Since the reading is so many to memorize because of the terms that were given in the PDF, I suggest that you take down notes and when it comes in the meaning since the meaning that were given in the book you need to take only the key terms for each so that when you need to go back it is not a waste of time because you only need to read again the key terms but in order for you to fully maximize what you have you need to be concise and organize.
Here are some of the examples to be your guide when you are working on these kind of key notes:

In the book, the HPLC was not elaborated well unlike the other terms that was mentioned on the book. But what is HPLC? According to chemistryviews, HPLC is an analytical technique used for separating, identifying and quantifying components in a mixture. Also, according to them it is the single biggest chromatography technique essential to most of the laboratories. In this site they also mentioned on how the HPLC works and also the types of it that is also mentioned in the book. I will just link the site for you to visit it. Here is the example of a HPLC

Also if you’re still having any difficulties you may search online about your questions or you may watch videos on youtube that may help you about High Performance Liquid Chromatography. These are the sites that you may visit:

I hope the techniques and suggestions that I shared will be a great help on organizing your notes. These techniques that I used for myself may work on but not on you because we have different capabilities my suggestion is that you must explore yourself on what are the things that work on you in terms of studying but you may try this kind of studying habit. That’s all thank you for reading!
